About The Position

As a Seasonal Retail Selling Colleague at Macy’s, you combine results-driven selling with genuine hospitality to create memorable holiday shopping experiences. You learn about customers’ needs, offer personalized recommendations, and connect them with suitable products and services. You engage customers on the sales floor and in fitting rooms, use product knowledge and smart selling behaviors to meet sales goals, and build trust and loyalty. You also help keep the shopping space clean, organized, and inviting. Daily work includes preparing the sales floor, reviewing sales goals, learning about new arrivals, popular products, trends, and promotions, and engaging customers in friendly, personal conversations. Colleagues maintain a shoppable environment by merchandising new receipts, processing damages, testers, and select merchandise for vendor returns, updating signs and pricing, and supporting merchandise moves. They communicate loyalty program benefits, ensure customers have what they need, and end interactions with a sincere thank-you. Seasonal colleagues are typically scheduled for 10–20 hours per week. Hours depend on business needs and colleague availability.
