This position is responsible for ensuring customer bagged ice needs are met and maximizing equipment productivity at assigned locations. The role involves establishing relationships with store management, completing scheduled routes, and ensuring customer satisfaction with the Packaged Ice Program. Responsibilities include invoicing/crediting bags, managing in-store bag inventory, and adhering to store policies. The role also emphasizes continuous improvement through lean principles and methodologies, actively using tools like VSM, Kaizen, and A3 to identify business opportunities and drive value creation. The merchandiser will also be responsible for servicing Ice Factory machines according to the playbook, maintaining machine cleanliness, and reporting any major issues to management.
