About The Position
Music & Arts is seeking a customer-centric seasonal sales associate to help customers rent, purchase, and repair instruments during the peak season. The associate supports the company’s Customer First value by helping create a positive in-store experience and contributing to sales and rental goals. The role is based in a retail environment and requires a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends, and some holidays. Music & Arts is part of the Guitar Center enterprise and operates more than 225 retail stores, 200 educational representatives, and 250 affiliate locations. The company focuses on helping people experience the joy of playing music and serving customers with respect, integrity, and passion.
Requirements
- Strong commitment to customer service.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle challenging situations.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and some holidays.
- Ability to stand regularly and walk, reach with hands and arms, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl frequently.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.

- Familiarity with the school music program.
- Familiarity with one or more musical instruments.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate outstanding customer service to every customer.
- Work as part of a team in a retail environment.
- Assist with sales and rentals to meet or exceed goals.
- Help customers with the rental process and provide the correct products.
- Restock products on fixtures and store displays.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
