About The Position

The Seasonal Restaurant Server will serve all guests in multiple dining establishments while striving to exceed any and all of the guests expectations.

Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

Seasonal position for multiple dining outlets, May – October.
Must be able to work nights, weekends and holidays.
Must be able to work inside and outside at multiple dining outlets.
Knowledge of seasonal alcoholic beverages or the ability to learn them.
Present menu, answer questions, and make suggestions regarding food and service
Write out order on check
Relay order to kitchen
Serve all guests using the proper serving habits from kitchen and service bars
Garnishes and decorates dishes preparatory to serving
Serves guests from chafing dish at table
Ladles soup, tosses salads, portions pies and desserts, brews coffee, and performs other services as determined necessary
Observe diners to respond to any additional requests and to determine when meal has been completed
Totals bill and accepts payment or refers guests to cashier
Clear all dinnerware used and return it to dish washing area for cleaning
Cleans and resets counters or tables at conclusion of each course
Responsible for all service areas, refilling condiments, salt and peppers, coffee stations, etc.
Must become knowledgeable about the park and all related information pertinent to job
Must be able to carry trays weighing approximately 25 lbs.
Interact with the public with a cheerful and positive attitude, solve guest problems and complaints in a proper manner, and maintain harmonious working relationships with fellow employees
