About The Position

Pet Paradise is hiring a Seasonal Resort Associate to provide attentive care for pets at its Lake Norman resort. Associates supervise and interact with pets, follow feeding instructions, maintain clean and safe suites and shared spaces, and communicate important observations about pets to management or veterinary services when applicable. The role involves substantial physical labor and working with dogs of all sizes. Associates must be flexible to meet resort scheduling needs, including days, nights, weekends, holidays, and peak periods. Pet Paradise is a full-service pet care company offering pet day camp, grooming, veterinary care, and overnight boarding. The company has more than 60 locations in operation or under development across ten states. Requirements

Passion for working with animals.
Cheerful, friendly, positive, and team-oriented attitude.
Comfort being around dogs of all sizes and physical ability to lift up to 60 pounds.
Flexibility to meet resort scheduling needs, including days, nights, weekends, holidays, and peak times.
Ability to receive instructions and adapt to changes and training materials.
Ability to perform considerable physical labor, including pet handling, walking, cleaning, and suite maintenance.

Responsibilities

Supervise and interact with pets inside the resort and in outdoor play yards.
Follow instructions for pets’ feeding times, food amounts, and food types.
Clean and disinfect suites and dog runs, including washing floors, scrubbing walls, and removing animal waste.
Empty trash, mop floors, and clean restrooms, common areas, and the employee breakroom.
Monitor and record important information about pets, reporting unusual behavior, injuries, or other critical information to management and veterinary services when applicable.
Use proper dog-handling techniques as instructed by management.
Keep dogs secure and maintain pet safety by following training policies.
