About The Position

InterHealth Medical Staffing Solutions, a staffing division of Tampa General Hospital, is seeking a Seasonal Registered Nurse for the Cath Lab. This role involves providing direct patient care during cardiac/interventional radiology procedures, functioning within established hospital policies. The nurse will perform technical aspects of nursing care, conduct patient assessments including vital signs monitoring, administer medications as directed by a physician, and maintain patient records. Responsibilities also include assisting in life-saving actions like CPR and defibrillation, and monitoring patients during conscious sedation. The position involves administering medication during advanced interventional cardiac/peripheral procedures such as STEMI, PCI, balloon angioplasty, and stent placement.

Requirements

Associate's Degree of Nursing Minimum
FL RN license
BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications required
Minimum 1 year experience in the Cath Lab
Minimum of 2 years’ experience within the specific division being hired into
Deemed competent to work independently

Responsibilities

Provides direct care to patients using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation during the cardiac/interventional radiology procedures.
Functions and performs all technical aspects of nursing care within the framework of established policies and procedures of Hospital.
Performs under the supervision of the Department Director and Nursing Director.
Conducts patient assessment duties such as monitoring vital signs.
Administers medications as instructed by the physician.
Keeps patient records and updates charts for medical procedures performed in the cardiac catheterization laboratory/Interventional Radiology.
Assists during life saving actions such as CPR and defibrillation.
Monitors patient during Conscious Sedation per physician instructions.
Administered medication during advance interventional cardiac/peripheral procedures such as STEMI, PCI, balloon angioplasty, stent placement.
