About The Position
InterHealth Staffing, a staffing division of TGH, is offering 13-week seasonal assignments for Registered Nurses. These assignments come with competitive base pay and the possibility of contract extensions. This is an opportunity to experience TGH's culture and potentially transition into a permanent role. Tampa General Hospital is a leading safety net hospital providing comprehensive healthcare services and is the primary teaching hospital for the USF Health Morsani College of Medicine. Nurses will join a Magnet-designated team and benefit from a flexible schedule. Applicants must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in the specific division they are applying for and be competent to work independently. The role involves delivering nursing care, planning and implementing care, documenting assessments, identifying interventions, formulating care plans, and ensuring patient rights, all while adhering to TGH's mission, vision, values, and quality improvement principles.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Florida
- Must have experience working in PACU PreOp setting at a Level I
- ICU/critical care experience required
- BLS, ACLS and PALS required through American Heart Association
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience within the specific division being hired into
- Deemed competent to work independently
Nice To Haves
- Bachelors in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Prior pre and post operative experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Delivers nursing care to patients under general supervision, following established policies, procedures, and professional guidelines.
- Plans and implements nursing care.
- Documents nursing assessments.
- Identifies and reports situations requiring further intervention.
- Formulates and communicates a goal-directed plan of care.
- Assures patient rights.
- Performs job duties in accordance with the mission, vision, and values of Tampa General Hospital and principles of quality improvement.
