About The Position

The South-Central Connecticut Regional Water Authority (RWA) is seeking part-time seasonal staff to work in their Recreational Program. This role involves supporting operations at Lake Saltonstall Reservoir, assisting patrons with boat rentals, performing boat maintenance, handling permit sales, maintaining trails, and staffing a portable water fountain at events. The position also includes assisting with special events, particularly those involving children fishing. Candidates should be available to work 2-4 days per week from April through October, including weekends and holidays, with potential for limited winter shifts. The RWA is a nonprofit public corporation committed to providing water for life, preserving watershed lands, and serving its community with integrity and environmental stewardship.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Outdoor recreation preferred
• Boating knowledge preferred
• Customer service preferred
• Candidate must have valid CT Driver’s License with clean driving record
• Must be able to lift 65 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Staffing Lake Saltonstall Reservoir during fishing season
• Helping patrons with boat rentals
