About The Position

Seneca Foods Corporation in Dayton, WA is currently seeking seasonal agricultural workers for its 2026 production season, specifically for the Pea/Bean Breeding Program, which runs from April through December. This timeframe is tentative and can be affected by the weather and crop availability. Seneca provides safe working conditions, paid overtime over 40 hours per week, and on-the-job training. The expected compensation range for this position is $17.50 - $20.00 per hour, depending on skills and experience.

Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license for any position involving the use/operation of company equipment

Nice To Haves

  • Farm equipment operation experience is preferred but not required
  • Ability to work 12+ hour shifts. Shifts can be affected by the weather and crop availability

Responsibilities

  • Grow and care for plants in the field
  • Assist with Irrigation throughout the growing season
  • Weeding as needed within the trial plots and research property
  • Assist with field trial maintenance and harvest
  • Data collection, data entry, and data evaluation
  • Quality control
  • Seed Cleaning/Packaging
  • Seed inventory management
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Work in a safe and responsible manner
  • Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices and safety policies/procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned
