About The Position

Lakes Gas, a family-owned propane provider with over 60 years of experience and more than 60 locations in the Midwest, is seeking a Delivery Driver. This is a local route position, offering the benefit of being home every night. The primary responsibilities include delivering propane, propane tanks, and cylinders to residential and commercial sites while providing excellent customer service. The role also involves maintenance and upkeep of company and customer equipment, as well as plant maintenance activities. The company emphasizes a local, community-focused approach despite its size.

Requirements

Valid Class "A" or "B" Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Hazmat and Tanker Endorsements (or the ability to obtain requisite endorsements) without air brake restrictions
A clean driving record verifiable by a Federal Motor Vehicle Report
Must be able to pass a DOT physical and maintain a Federal DOT medical card
Must have the ability to read, write, and clearly communicate in the English Language
Must be able to comply with federal drug and alcohol testing requirements
Qualified candidates will be safety conscious and customer service oriented
Ability to operate and maintain handheld tablets
DOT Hazmat Training and Maintenance every three years
Maintains compliance with all DOT requirements
