Safe operation of the vehicle Safe loading and unloading, observing Company, Federal, and State regulations Excellent relations with the customer including attention to personal appearance and demeanor Inspection of tractor and trailer at pre-trip and post-trip Secure all paperwork, products, and equipment Fueling of the unit, check liquid levels Comply with DOT regulations Coming to work on time and on a regular basis, and knowing when you are scheduled to work During the course of the day, report any problems or malfunctions in any terminal, vehicle, or while making a delivery Notify dispatcher of any problem while on a delivery, including any unsafe situation Fill out all paperwork legibly and completely and turn in at the end of shift Have a thorough knowledge product and equipment to suit customers’ needs Perform any other duties required by the Company and consistent with the job
