About The Position

Gruppo Terroni is seeking dedicated and experienced Seasonal Pastry Cooks to join their diverse and passionate culinary team at the Spaccio East Commissary location in downtown Toronto for the summer season. Spaccio East is an open concept commissary, storefront, and fully licensed café restaurant with two floors of full-service dining space. In this unique and beautifully designed space, customers can eat and drink while overlooking the kitchen as chefs and cooks are busy making breads, pastries, pastas, and other goods for their locations and for purchase at the storefront.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year experience working with baked goods and/or a certificate in culinary arts, pastry-making, baking, or relevant field.
  • Skills to competently prepare a wide variety of goods such as cakes, biscotti, croissants, bread etc.
  • Working knowledge of different types of pastries, desserts, cake & decorating.
  • Ability to successfully and consistently follow standardized recipes.
  • Capable of working in a fast-paced, production environment.
  • Be highly organized and able to multitask
  • Open availability
  • Possesses professional disposition with good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Responsibilities

  • Participate first hand in the daily production of a variety of pastry items, baked goods and gelato.
