About The Position

This Seasonal OR Tech position involves assisting surgeons during operative and invasive procedures, ensuring the operating suite is adequately prepared, monitoring PAR levels of surgical instruments and supplies, and cleaning and sterilizing all surgical instruments. This is a temporary, seasonal role with a duration of thirteen (13) weeks from the date of hire, and employment will expire at the end of this period. Seasonal OR Techs are not eligible for additional add-on pay such as shift differential, critical pay, charge pay, or certification pay. The seasonal program extension requires approval from the CEO or COO of FDRMC. Candidates must not have worked for any FDRMC facility in the past 6 months. Responsibilities include floating to other competent areas, being available for at least four full weekend shifts per month (Friday 7 p.m. to Monday 7 a.m.), and working one assigned holiday per quarter, which may include Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day, and Easter.

Requirements

May not have worked for any FDRMC facility for the past 6 months
Required to float to other areas where they are deemed competent to work
Required to be available to work at least four (4) full week-end shifts per month as needed by the hospital
Required to be available to work 1 holiday per quarter as assigned by the facility which may include Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day and Easter
High School Graduate or equivalent
BLS required
A minimum of at least three years of Operating Room Technician Experience required
