About The Position
This is an early morning position where you will work with the task team to perform operations functions within the store prior to store opening. As a seasonal hire, you will have a defined employment time period, but you may be offered an employment extension or regular position based on your work ethic and availability. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with their hands, staying active, and are excited by the prospect of making things happen behind the scenes to ensure a well-functioning store environment.
Requirements
- Ability to maneuver around the store at a fast pace.
- Ability to change ticket prices and signing on merchandise.
- Ability to pull and prepare merchandise to go to the sales floor.
- Ability to work with co-workers to unload a truck and prepare merchandise.
- Ability to keep the stockroom safe, clean, and organized.
- Ability to find and fulfill orders placed online.
- Ability to execute merchandise placement plans with efficiency and detail.
- Ability to understand merchandising standards.
- Ability to absorb new information from peers or training materials.

Responsibilities
- Perform operations functions within the store prior to store opening.
- Create an outstanding customer experience by performing operations functions.
- Execute pricing and signing on merchandise across the store.
- Replenish and restock the store by pulling and preparing merchandise to go to the sales floor.
- Receive and unload merchandise, and prepare it in the backroom.
- Keep the stockroom safe, clean, and organized.
- Fulfill online orders for jcp.com pick up.
- Execute merchandise placement strategies communicated by leadership with efficiency and detail.
- Maintain merchandising standards as goods flow to the sales floor.
- Participate in a learning environment by absorbing new information on merchandise or business processes.
