Denver Parks and Recreation is seeking a seasonal worker for the Denver Mountain Parks Operations and Facility Management program. Established over a century ago in 1912, the Denver Mountain Parks consists of 14,000 acres of parks and open space across four counties outside of Denver’s municipal boundary. The Mountain Parks system boasts a wide array of parks, historic structures, bison herds, Red Rocks Amphitheatre, Buffalo Bill’s grave and museum, water resources, wildlife habitat, trails, and a variety of recreational activities ranging from the alpine environment of Mount Evans to the plains ecosystem of Daniel’s Park. Mountain Parks Utility Workers play an important role in maintaining Denver’s extensive system of mountain parks that are essential to the community’s well-being. These individuals learn and practice a wide variety of general maintenance and landscaping skills – providing them with a strong foundation to make upward moves within the Parks and Recreation Department.
