About The Position

This is a seasonal position focused on assisting the Meter Service Department with meter replacements. The role requires adherence to all company policies outlined in the employee handbook. Due to the seasonal nature, these positions are not eligible for benefits such as holiday, sick, or vacation pay, and the position may be eliminated at any time based on business needs.

Requirements

• Minimum age of 18 years old.
• Valid TN driver's license and clean driving record.
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Good knowledge of Rutherford County.
• Basic tool, equipment, and vehicle maintenance skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to work in potentially hazardous environments.
• Aptitude to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Effective, professional verbal and written communication skills.
• Must have initiative and be resourceful in problem solving.
• Should be detailed oriented, able to focus on task-at-hand.
• Must be self-motivated.
• Work is mostly in the field in a variety of settings and weather conditions.
• Typically standing, stopping, or walking.
• Typically bending, crouching, or stooping.
• Frequent entering/exiting vehicle.
• Frequent lifting of light objects.
• Occasional lifting of objects weighing 25 to 50 pounds.
• Climbing fences/ladders.
• Use of tools or equipment requiring a high degree of expertise.
• Good vision.
• Need to distinguish between shades of color.

Responsibilities

• Assist with meter replacements in the Meter Service Department.
• Inspect current customer water meters for damage.
• Change out meter registers and meter transponders.
• Complete digital work orders on a mobile device.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
