About The Position

This is a full-time seasonal Material Handler position in the Distribution Centre. The role involves assisting with all receiving, processing, shipping, returns, and inventory operations. The goal is to ensure the Distribution Centre operates with optimum precision and efficiency. The position requires working within various areas of the warehouse, including Receiving, Processing, Shipping, Inventory Control, and Returns, depending on business needs.

Requirements

Ability to lift up to 50lbs repetitively.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Excellent attention to detail.
Ability to follow precise verbal and written instructions.
Good organizational skills.
Must be able to read, write, speak and receive instruction and directions in English.
Must be eligible to work in Canada.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Working knowledge of RF scanners and common warehouse tools and equipment.
Ability to learn to operate technical machinery if required.

Responsibilities

Assist with all product loading and unloading tasks, by hand.
Scan and track incoming and outgoing orders.
Receive and process new inventory, ensuring contents match manifest documents.
Inspect receivables for defects, damages, or missing items.
Properly scan and inventory incoming goods.
Perform detailed manual inventory counts as required.
Label warehouse stock for quick and easy identification and retrieval.
Pick, prepare, package, and label goods for shipment.
Double-check items to verify the accuracy of outgoing orders.
Manually load and unload product to and from trailers and containers.
Keep workplace clean and tidy (general housekeeping).
Ensure tools and equipment are kept clean and in working order.
Report any equipment malfunctions or issues to upper management.
Follow all warehouse policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Adhere to health and safety rules and regulations at all times.
Wear protective clothing and equipment as required.
Work with other Distribution Centre team members to effectively complete assigned tasks.
Other duties as assigned.
