About The Position

The Summer Maintenance position will perform a variety of basic repairs and maintenance work using hand tools and equipment. Duties include mowing and trimming, landscaping, painting and assisting full-time maintenance staff with minor carpentry/repair work.

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED, preferred.
• Must hold a valid driver’s license.
• General maintenance and lawn care skills.
• Ability to operate maintenance and lawn care equipment and vehicles.
• Ability to work with hand and power tools.

Nice To Haves

• Some knowledge and experience in the following areas: electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and landscaping.

Responsibilities

• Cut grass, trim and edge around walkways, flower beds, and walls.
• Prune shrubs and trees. Remove damaged branches. Rake leaves, pick up debris and twigs.
• Plant grass, flowers, trees and shrubs.
• Assist with basic maintenance tasks, such as minor carpentry, flooring, etc.
• Distributes freight and boxed items throughout campus.
• Paint interior and exterior of buildings.
