About The Position

The C. Harper Auto Group is seeking a Seasonal Maintenance Team Member for the spring and summer months. This full-time seasonal role focuses on maintaining and enhancing the buildings and grounds of all C. Harper locations. Responsibilities include general facility upkeep, landscaping, and supporting dealership operations by ensuring a clean and well-maintained environment. This role involves manual labor, including grass cutting, operation of vehicles, and transporting dealership vehicles. The Maintenance Team Member will also assist with routine maintenance tasks across all dealerships as needed.

Requirements

• Experience with landscaping, grounds maintenance, and general facility upkeep.
• Ability to identify and properly use tools and equipment required for various maintenance tasks.
• Proficiency in operating riding and push mowers, power edgers, weed whips, blowers, sprayers, tractors, skid steer loaders, dump-bed trucks, and basic hand and power tools.
• Capability to operate vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Clean driving record and valid driver’s license.
• Ability to perform minor maintenance of grounds-related equipment.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Physical ability to bend at the waist and knees, push and pull up to 50 pounds, climb stairs while carrying up to 25 pounds, and operate light machinery.

Responsibilities

• Mow and maintain lawns, trim hedges, and remove weeds.
• Perform minor landscaping and grounds keeping duties.
• Inspect and replace lighting fixtures and bulbs.
• Conduct minor wall/drywall repairs and painting.
• Address minor plumbing issues (clogged toilets, faucet repairs, irrigation system checks).
• Maintain parking lots, signage, and clear storm water grates.
• Paint curbs, stripe lots, and fill potholes as necessary.
• Transport tools, equipment, materials, and vehicles as needed.
