About The Position
Seneca Foods in Geneva, NY is currently seeking a Seasonal First Shift Mechanic to join our team. The work schedule will primarily be day shift but could also include nights, weekends and overtime as needed. Responsible for proper maintenance of production equipment that include repairs, overhauling and daily maintenance.
Requirements
- Ability to weld.
- Capable of making quick decisions.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to use hand and power tools.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule that could include nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
Responsibilities
- Daily maintenance of production line equipment.
- Overhaul, repair, and maintain pumps, gear boxes, conveyors and electrical motors.
- Troubleshoot and repair machinery as needed.
- Maintain repair logs.
- Maintain proper housekeeping.
- Other duties as assigned.
