About The Position

Parkbridge Lifestyle Communities, an operating platform of QuadReal Property Group, is seeking a responsible and vigilant individual to join their team as a Lifeguard at the Wasaga Country Cottage and RV Resort. This role is crucial in ensuring the safety of patrons at the camping resort. The primary responsibility will be to monitor swimmers, enforce pool rules, and respond promptly to any emergencies. This position requires strong swimming skills, excellent communication, and the ability to remain calm under pressure. Requirements

  • Current lifeguard certification from a recognized training program (e.g., American Red Cross, YMCA).
  • CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and focused under pressure.
  • Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a criminal record check.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior lifeguarding experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain constant surveillance of the pool and its surrounding areas.
  • Identify and address any unsafe conditions or behaviors.
  • Monitor swimmers and enforce safety rules to ensure a secure aquatic environment.
  • Be prepared to respond quickly and effectively to any emergencies, including water rescues and first aid situations.
  • Administer CPR and first aid as needed.
  • Provide excellent customer service by assisting patrons and answering questions.
  • Educate swimmers on pool rules and safety guidelines.
  • Address any concerns or complaints in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Ensure that all rescue and safety equipment is in good working condition.
  • Perform regular checks of equipment and report any issues to the supervisor.
  • Complete and maintain accurate records of pool attendance, incidents, and any actions taken.
  • Submit incident reports promptly to the Resort Manager.
