ODUrent is an innovative real estate company managing off-campus student housing for 1100+ students at Old Dominion University, 300 self-storage units, and several traditional apartment communities. Join our progressive team and build a career! Job Summary We are seeking talented Leasing Consultants to join our team for the 2026 Leasing Season! The ideal candidate will enjoy fast-paced work, show creativity in sales techniques, and exude enthusiasm toward future residents. Typical duties will processing applications, follow up calls , showing properties to future residents, and marketing properties. If you are a creative and enthusiastic individual who’s eager to make an impact in the lives of others, come join our dynamic team! This is a seasonal position. Employees will not qualify for any benefits during their employment.
Requirements
- High School Diploma (or equivalent)
- Excellent communication skills
- Must have leasing experience
- High-energy and enjoys a fast-paced environment
- Enjoy and take pride in providing excellent customer service
- Great with people — warm, friendly and helpful in person and on the phone
- Basic computer skills: typing and writing ability
- Ready, willing and able to handle inbound and outbound call volume and screening
- Persuasive with marketing and sales skills
- Must have a valid Driver's License and working vehicle for travel
- Basic understanding of MS Office
Nice To Haves
- Customer service: 1 year (Preferred)
Responsibilities
- Processing applications (up to 100 per week)
- Follow-up with future residents to book lease signings
- Answering phone calls and responding to emails concerning leasing prospects
- Calling applicants and leads in a timely manner to promote our properties
- Marketing available rental properties through social media and canvassing
- Tour properties and describe amenities in a positive light to future residents
- Communicate with property managers in a clear and effective way
- Uphold company policy and professionalism when scheduling and performing tours
- Approaching everyday with an open-mind and unwavering enthusiasm
- Provide information on all aspects of properties
