About The Position
The City of Kettering's Public Service Department is seeking dependable, safety-conscious individuals to join our team as Seasonal Leaf Pickup Crew Members. This role performs essential municipal services that maintain the cleanliness, accessibility, and visual appeal of our community during the fall season. Seasonal position performing manual labor to collect and rake residential curbside leaf piles across the City. Work outdoors in variable weather conditions alongside municipal field crews.
Requirements
- Ability to understand and follow written instructions, hazard notices
- Knowledge of basic math
- Ability to understand, follow, and communicate oral instructions
- Ability to exercise alertness and judgement to report possible hazards
- Adequate physical condition to perform position duties
Responsibilities
- Raking, sweeping, and feeding bulk leaf piles from residential curbsides to municipal trucks
- Adhering to all safety protocols
- Working outdoors in cold, wet, or windy weather conditions
- Performing additional duties as assigned
- Perform related duties as assigned
