About The Position
Under the direction of the Building & Grounds Manager, this position is responsible for performing landscaping for Duchesne County buildings and related surrounding County areas. Quality customer service will be provided to the staff and public at all times. Knowledge or willingness to learn proper landscaping techniques and building maintenance is essential.

Responsibilities
- Keep all County lawns manicured
- Keep all flowerbeds clear of weeds and debris
- Plant and maintain plants and flowers
- Attend to emergencies when necessary
- Gather and empty outside trash
- Clean and polish any outside fixtures
- Monitor building security and safety by performing such tasks as locking doors after operating hours and checking electrical appliance use to ensure that hazards are not created
- Notify the manager concerning the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems
- Keep equipment in good working order and notify management of needed repairs
- Spray insecticides and fumiguns to prevent insect and rodent infestation
- May assist custodial and facilities maintenance staff when needed
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned by the Maintenance Director as needed
- Maintenance and upkeep of county sprinkling systems
