About The Position
The Milford Department of Public Works is seeking energetic, dependable and conscientious individual(s) to fill the position(s) of Seasonal Laborers and/or Seasonal Truck Drivers within our Public Works Department. Duties will include landscaping, grounds & building maintenance, construction activities and other tasks as assigned by our Parks and Cemeteries and/or Highway Foremen. Work is performed inside and out of doors in an environment which includes exposure to physical elements and/or to a number of disagreeable working conditions. Must be reliable. Hours generally will be 6:30-3:30 or 7:00- 3:00 (depending on location), Monday through Friday, May to October. Starting pay will be commensurate with position/experience. There are no benefits associated with either position.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- must be at least 18 years of age
- possess a valid NH Driver's License
- have a steady/dependable work history
- be safety conscious
Nice To Haves
- Prefer minimum of 6 (six) months experience performing laboring, grounds keeping or building maintenance work; OR any combination of education and experience which demonstrates possession of the required knowledge, skill and abilities.
