About The Position

Haverford Township is currently seeking seasonal employees for leaf season. This position involves performing heavy manual labor under varying weather conditions and requires frequent strenuous physical effort. The role requires adherence to high ethical standards and personal integrity, and the ability to take and comprehend oral instructions. The employee will work under the supervision of the Highway Supervisor and occasional direction from the Assistant Director and Director of Public Works.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Ability to lift and carry 50 to 100 pounds.
Ability to bend, kneel, reach, and squat frequently throughout a work shift.
Ability to move frequently in and out of equipment and vehicles.
Ability to use and wear personal protective equipment and clothing such as hearing protection, eye protection, foot and hand protection and respiratory protection.
Ability to perform heavy manual labor under varying weather conditions.
Ability to take and comprehend oral instructions.
Ability to work well with others.
Must adhere to high ethical standards and personal integrity.

Nice To Haves

May be required to work shifts greater than (8) hours.
May be required to work shifts greater than (8) hours during winter and emergency operations.
