About The Position

Aqua, an Essential Utilities company, is seeking a Seasonal Laborer for opportunities available from May through August, with the possibility of applying for full-time positions afterward. This seasonal role involves leading environmental sampling efforts, traveling throughout the commonwealth, reviewing and updating system plans for VDH approval, identifying sites for voluntary sample collection, delivering sample kits to customers, and collaborating with Aqua’s compliance and sampling team. Work schedules are up to 40 hours per week.

Requirements

Must have a valid driver’s license
Must be at least 18 years old
Ability to work independently
Ability to complete daily activities according to work schedules
Must be able to follow direction and implement safety procedures at all times
Ability to communicate orally and in writing
Maintain daily log sheet
Inputs computer data entry as needed
Ability to use equipment and tools properly and safely
Ability to establish effective working relationships with employees, supervisors and the public

Responsibilities

Leading an environmental sampling effort by travelling throughout the commonwealth
Reviewing system plans, updating if necessary and ensuring approval by VDH
Identifying sites for voluntary requests to collect samples
Delivering sample kits to customers
Working with Aqua’s compliance and sampling team
Complete daily activities according to work schedules
Follow direction and implement safety procedures at all times
Communicate orally and in writing
Maintain daily log sheet
Input computer data entry as needed
Use equipment and tools properly and safely
Establish effective working relationships with employees, supervisors and the public
