About The Position
Hirzel Canning Company & Farms has been family-owned for five generations and proudly produces the trusted Dei Fratelli brand of tomato products. If you're dependable, hardworking, and looking for seasonal employment with consistent hours and overtime, we'd love to have you join our team for the 2026 tomato season. We are hiring for a variety of seasonal roles, including General Labor, Tomato Sorters, Machine Operators, Laboratory Technicians, Forklift Drivers, Weighmasters, and Yard Truck Drivers. Many of our seasonal positions are entry-level, and we provide on-the-job training. Whether you're looking for your first manufacturing job or returning for another season, we encourage you to apply.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old (if required)
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, depending on position
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
Nice To Haves
- Forklift or CDL experience preferred for applicable positions
Responsibilities
- Sorting and packing fresh tomatoes
- Operating production equipment
- Inspecting products for quality
- Loading, unloading, and moving materials
- Maintaining a clean and safe work environment
- Following food safety and company procedures
- Working as part of a team to meet production goals
