Requirements

  • Must obtain and maintain current CPR & First Aid Training Card.
  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) or equivalent in education or related industry required (or in process of obtaining teaching credential); or minimum of two years related experience and/or training in equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively in English before groups of children, and one-on-one with employees, members and guests.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions and percentages.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • All employees in this position must obtain and maintain current CPR & First Aid Training Card.
  • The employee is constantly required to talk or hear.
  • The employee frequently is required to stand and walk.
  • The employee is frequently required to sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
  • The employee constantly lifts and/or moves up to 10 pounds and must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and the ability to adjust focus.
  • The employee frequently works in outside weather conditions.
  • The employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
  • The employee will interact frequently with the adult members and apartment guests, as well as the children of members and apartment guests.
  • This employee will also interact frequently with the membership services, front desk staff, catering staff and beach crew members, as well as occasional interaction with the housekeeping and engineering staffs.
  • The employee must have the ability to communicate and work effectively with these and other designated internal and external customers.

Responsibilities

  • Assists the Assistant Guest Services Manager in the management and supervision of children ages 3-10 participating in various activities.
  • Confers with parents regarding upcoming events and activities.
  • Arranges medical attention for sick or injured children in accordance with parental and/or company instructions.
  • Sets up for activities and events as needed.
  • Provides quality service to guests that meets or exceeds expectations.
  • Set up and maintain pool deck furniture, umbrellas, and guest amenities.
  • Provide towels to guests and ensure towel inventory is stocked throughout the day.
  • Monitor pool and surrounding areas for cleanliness and safety concerns.
  • Pick up trash and maintain the cleanliness of the pool deck, walkways, and recreational areas.
  • Enforce pool rules and report any safety concerns to management or security.
  • Replenish guest supplies such as towels.
