About The Position
This is a seasonal role focused on inbound stocking operations. The position involves working efficiently and as a team to deliver for guests, ensuring product is set, in-stock, accurately priced, and signed on the sales floor. Target aims to provide meaningful experiences that help team members build and develop skills for a career, offering experience in retail business fundamentals like department sales trends, inventory management, and process efficiency. The role is not a typical Monday-through-Friday computer-based job, as the environment is busy, especially on weekends, with the goal of making it easy for guests to feel welcomed, inspired, and rewarded.
Requirements
- Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and other team members
- Ability to learn and adapt to current technology needs
- Ability to work both independently and with a team
- Ability to resolve guest questions quickly on the spot
- Attention to detail and ability to follow multi-step processes
- Flexible work schedule (e.g., nights, weekends and holidays) and regular attendance necessary
Responsibilities
- Stocking, Setting and Selling Target products
- Work efficiently and as a team to deliver for guests
- Ensure product is set, in-stock, accurately priced and signed on the sales floor
- Accurately handle cash register operations
- Climb up and down ladders
- Scan, handle and move merchandise efficiently and safely, including frequently lifting or moving merchandise up to 40 pounds
