About The Position

Dave Hausbeck Trucking (DHT Group) is actively hiring Seasonal CDL-A In-Plant Drivers for our Bay City, Michigan sugar beet harvest operation. This is a great opportunity for dependable drivers who are ready to work safely and help keep one of Mid-Michigan’s largest agricultural operations moving. Seasonal work can turn into a long-term opportunity with DHT. Drivers who successfully complete the sugar beet campaign may have the opportunity to transition into DHT’s year-round Gravel Train (Doubles) Division, with access to higher long-term earning potential, stable year-round work, continued training and advancement, and a long-term career with one of Michigan’s premier transportation companies. Many of our full-time drivers started in seasonal roles exactly like this one. Immediate openings are available, but positions are limited.

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL
• Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
• Ability to pass a DOT Physical
• Ability to pass a Drug & Alcohol Screening
• Ability to safely operate commercial equipment
• Reliable attendance and commitment to safety
• Must be able to work Holidays
• Must be able to work 12-hour shifts, 3-5 days/nights a week

Nice To Haves

• Dump trailer experience
• T-Endorsement
• Agricultural hauling experience

Responsibilities

• Safely transport sugar beets within the customer’s production facility
• Load, haul, and unload product efficiently
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Maintain DOT compliance and required documentation
• Report equipment concerns promptly
• Work with plant personnel and dispatch to keep the operation moving
