About The Position

ECM Holding Company has an opportunity for a HVAC Applicator in Pompano Beach, Florida. As a Seasonal HVAC Applicator you'll provide essential services that enhance the efficiency and lifespan of commercial HVAC equipment. Your primary work will involve applying specialized coatings to HVAC unit coils, cleaning units, and restoring cooling towers. This position requires physical stamina, a willingness to learn, and strong attention to detail. This is a dynamic role that requires extensive travel to various job sites, often involving both driving company vehicles and air travel. Travel expected up to 100% of the time in Florida and Georgia.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Knowledge of construction business and / or 1-year prior related experience helpful but not required.
  • Current Drivers License
  • Ability to use good judgement and problem-solving skills while striving to work safely.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to always demonstrate a respectful and professional demeanor.
  • Good interpersonal communication skills and the ability to read, speak and write.
  • Ability to travel 100% of the time throughout Florida and Georgia.
  • Must be able to pass a pulmonary and respirator physical to wear required respirators.

Responsibilities

  • Thoroughly prepare for each job by understanding the scope of work and ensuring all necessary equipment, safety gear, tools, and supplies are ready.
  • Systematically set up the job site by unloading equipment and placing items in their installation locations. You'll survey the site to protect the building, surroundings, and wiring before beginning work.
  • Carefully clean and prepare existing HVAC units, then apply specialized HVAC Armor coatings to coils. You will also restore and refinish cooling towers.
  • Develop and refine your spray techniques to ensure thorough, timely application while minimizing waste and overspray. You'll learn from experienced team leaders to master proper equipment operation.
  • Ensure all safety protocols are followed, which includes keeping unauthorized people at a safe distance (minimum of 50 feet) from the work area. You may be required to wear a supplied air or cartridge filter respirator throughout the application process.
  • Review your work to guarantee it meets or exceeds our high-quality standards, ensuring no callbacks are needed.
  • Maintain a high standard of cleanliness by completing all necessary cleanup and touch-up work before leaving any job site.
  • Conduct a final survey of the site to ensure all company tools and equipment are collected, cleaned, and returned to the vehicle, ready for the next job.
