Seasonal Service & Engagement roles are for advocates of guest experience who welcome, thank, and exceed guest service expectations by focusing on guest interaction and recovery. Seasonal General Merchandise & Food Sales roles are for experts of operations, process, and efficiency who enable a consistent experience for guests by ensuring product is set, in-stock, accurately priced, and signed on the sales floor. Team members in these roles can gain knowledge of guest service fundamentals, experience supporting a guest-first culture, understanding of retail business fundamentals (department sales trends, inventory management, process efficiency and improvement), and experience executing daily/weekly workloads to support business priorities and deliver on sales goals. The environment is described as fun and energetic, requiring efficient teamwork to deliver for guests, providing service that makes guests love Target, and involving stocking, setting, and selling Target products. It is not a typical Monday through Friday desk job, but rather a busy role, especially on weekends, focused on making guests feel welcomed, inspired, and rewarded.

Responsibilities

- Inspire guests and build the basket (for Specialty Sales Roles)
- Welcome, thank, and exceed guest service expectations by focusing on guest interaction and recovery (for Service & Engagement Roles)
- Ensure product is set, in-stock, accurately priced and signed on the sales floor (for General Merchandise & Food Sales Roles)
- Work efficiently and as a team to deliver for guests
- Provide service to guests
- Stock, Set and Sell Target products
- Accurately handle cash register operations
- Climb up and down ladders
- Scan, handle and move merchandise efficiently and safely, including frequently lifting or moving merchandise up to 40 pounds
