About The Position
The Town of West Springfield seeks qualified individual(s) to fill the position of Seasonal Grounds. Under the general supervision of the Director of Central Maintenance, this position handles grounds maintenance of all Town owned grounds, parks, athletic fields and playgrounds. This is a Seasonal Non-Benefitted position from June through August. Hours of work are 7:00am-3:30pm Monday-Friday.
Requirements
- Work requires high school graduation or equivalent plus two years experience in the same or a related field or any equivalent combination of education and experience required to perform the essential functions of this position.
- MA Drivers’ License required
Responsibilities
- Performs grounds maintenance duties: plants, seeds, rakes, fertilizes and grades, cuts, waters and trims fields and park areas, trim bushes, setting up and lining athletic fields.
