About The Position

This position’s primary responsibility is planting new seeds/cuttings/bulbs, maintenance of crops and picking and packaging of finished products. The role requires the ability to work individually as well as part of a team, with high flexibility and strong interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse environment. The ideal candidate is a fast learner with the initiative to undertake various duties and roles, and possesses good comprehension of English to take direction. Bilingualism in English and Spanish is a strong asset.

Responsibilities

• Filling pots with soil, taking cuttings, sticking, planting, pinching, disbudding, spacing, moving pots, putting in spaghetti, tagging, hanging baskets
• Putting UPC's on packaging as required, select plants, cover and sleeve, pack into boxes or on carts
• Keep work area clean
• Assists in loading product is required
• Ensure the health and viability of the product
• Follows all relevant safety rules
• All other duties as assigned
