About The Position

At Sterling Vineyards, every guest journey begins with a ride on our iconic aerial gondola. As a Seasonal Gondola Attendant, you'll be the friendly face that greets visitors, helps them board safely, and ensures they have an exceptional first impression of our winery. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working outdoors, interacting with people from around the world, and creating memorable guest experiences. While you'll work closely with our maintenance team to support daily operations, no mechanical expertise is required.

Requirements

  • You enjoy creating memorable guest experiences and take pride in providing warm, friendly service.
  • You have excellent written and verbal English communication skills and can confidently interact with guests, visitors, and team members.
  • You have strong interpersonal skills and enjoy meeting people from diverse backgrounds.
  • You maintain a clean, professional appearance and represent the winery with professionalism and enthusiasm.
  • You are at least 21 years of age.
  • You have a valid California Driver's License and can provide proof of a good driving record.
  • You are available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
  • You are willing and able to complete company-provided training, including Van Driver Training, Gondola Evacuation Training, and Gondola Operator Certification.
  • You are comfortable working outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.
  • You can lift and carry up to 40 pounds.
  • You are safety-minded, attentive to detail, and committed to helping guests board and exit the gondola safely.
  • You enjoy working as part of a team and collaborating with colleagues to deliver an exceptional guest experience.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome guests with warmth and professionalism as they arrive for their winery experience.
  • Assist visitors with safely loading and unloading the gondola.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and answer basic guest questions.
  • Monitor gondola operations and communicate with the maintenance team to support safe daily operations.
  • Help open and close the gondola each day alongside trained team members.
  • Ensure gondola cabins and guest-facing areas remain clean, organized, and presentable.
  • Support ADA accessibility standards and assist guests with special accommodations.
  • Participate in safety training, evacuation drills, and operator certification programs provided by the company.
  • Assist the Hospitality team during busy periods and special events as needed.
  • Help identify opportunities to improve guest experience, safety, and operational efficiency.
  • Maintain compliance with all company safety standards and procedures.
