About The Position
The Catawba Island Club , a private resort-style club located on the shores of Lake Erie, is seeking a professional and courteous Seasonal Front Gate Attendant for the boating season. This highly visible role serves as the first point of contact for members, guests, employees, and vendors and plays a key role in maintaining the Club's secure and welcoming environment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior hospitality, customer service, private club, or security experience preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Ability to work outdoors in varied weather conditions
Responsibilities
- Monitor vehicle and pedestrian traffic serving as the primary entry point for members, guests, vendors and staff, while greeting all in a warm, professional manner
- Verify member credentials, guest lists, and authorized access, while logging activity accurately
- Provide directions and general Club information
- Communicate arrivals and concerns to Club staff
- Enforce Club access rules, policies and confidentiality standards courteously and consistently
- Monitor gate areas for safety and report any security concerns
- Maintain a clean and organized gatehouse area
