About The Position

Stovepipe Wells, located in Death Valley National Park, is seeking a Seasonal Front Desk Agent for the Winter 2026 season. Stovepipe Wells is an 80-room hotel with a restaurant, bar, pool, gas station, general store, and gift shop. We are a welcoming, safe, and environmentally responsible resort providing accommodations and services within Death Valley National Park, operating under a long-term concession contract with the National Park Service. This role is crucial for greeting and assisting visitors, managing reservations, and ensuring a positive guest experience.

Minimum 2 years of work experience in a hospitality service position.
High school diploma required.

Responsibilities

Greet and assist visitors, answer questions, and explain regulations.
Answer phones, handle reservations, and respond to guest inquiries with precision and finesse.
Maintain a report of occupied or vacant rooms and RV campsites.
Distribute maps, park rules, and local information.
Assist guests in locating hotel rooms and full hook-up RV sites.
Be familiar with local points of interest and services requested by guests.
Perform basic duties in common areas to maintain an attractive and clean environment.
Be observant for activities requiring immediate attention and notify the Lodging Manager as problems arise.
Understand and follow all ESQ (Environmental, Safety, and Quality) procedures.
Work with a “safety-first” attitude.
Minimize environmental impact at work and while living onsite.
Project a hospitable service atmosphere at all times.
Maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance.
Report defective, damaged, or lost PPE or equipment to the manager.
