Seasonal Forklift Driver - 1st Shift
About The Position
The Seasonal Forklift Driver - 1st Shift position is located in South Brunswick, NJ. This role involves working with leadership to ensure the completion of all manual and on-task tasks by the end of each day. The driver will complete daily picks for the Hub using the inventory management system, understand order requirements for item movement (potentially using power equipment), and maintain inventory accuracy using the warehouse system. Responsibilities also include completing staging and sweeping tasks with power equipment, loading and unloading products, stacking and staging products using various power equipment, and ensuring the organization and cleanliness of aisles and surroundings daily. The role also emphasizes promoting safety awareness and cultivating a safety culture to prevent hazardous working conditions. Other duties as instructed may also be assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- At least 1 year of forklift experience in operating the following: Order Picker, Reach Truck, & Swing Reach
- Excellent attendance and willingness to be part of a team – performing whatever duties are necessary
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Ability to learn warehouse management system functions (PKMS)
- Ability to read and verify locations and SKU numbers
- Willing and able to be cross trained and certified to operate any or all WSI DDC equipment: Reach Tracker, Pacers, Swing Reach, Order Picker/TT, Motorized Pallet Jack
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, ability to work under pressure, and be a fast learner
- Flexible to work overtime as required
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
Responsibilities
- Complete daily pick for the Hub with the use of our inventory management system
- Utilize orders to understand where items need to be moved – may or may not include power equipment
- Utilize the warehouse system to maintain and uphold inventory accuracy
- Ensure the completion of all staging/sweeping tasks using power equipment
- Loads and unloads, stacks, and stages products utilizing multiple types of power equipment
- Ensure organization and housekeeping of aisles and surroundings daily
- Promote safety awareness and cultivate the safety culture throughout the company to help avoid unsafe or hazardous working conditions
- Other duties as instructed
