About The Position

Vala's is a family-owned and operated fall festival located in Gretna, Nebraska, open for 45 to 55 days a year. It is a cherished fall tradition for many families in the surrounding communities. Vala's spans over 400 acres with more than 50 attractions, including pick-your-own pumpkins, apples, and flowers, and over 25 food locations. The mission at Vala's is to bring happiness to the world by creating a place where magical memories are shared between families and friends.

Requirements

• Strong communication skills
• Strong organization and multitasking skills
• Ability to work both independently and within a team
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to stand, walk, lift, carry, bend, stoop, crouch, kneel, twist, and reach for extended periods
• Ability to move 25lbs, 25-50 lbs frequently, and 50-70lbs occasionally
• Ability to work in variable weather conditions
• Must be age 21 years or older with a valid driver’s license to operate warehouse and farm equipment

Nice To Haves

• Interest in food operations- experience not required

Responsibilities

• Unload daily deliveries and stock them in the warehouse.
• Support the supplying of locations by filling and delivering order requests throughout the business day.
• Unload supplies from delivery trucks.
• Organize and categorize product and supplies.
• Move pallets of product safely throughout storage areas.
• Safely transport and/or store perishable and nonperishable items according to state and local ordinances and Vala’s policies.
• Deliver orders accurately to food locations, prioritizing and expediting deliveries as needed.
• Maintain a clean and food-safe work environment at all times, including overall upkeep of warehouse and grounds.
• Operate farm vehicles and equipment as needed (training provided).
