About The Position
The Mission Inn Hotel & Spa is seeking an enthusiastic, dependable, and service-oriented seasonal team member to support the Annual Festival of Lights. The role helps create a memorable and welcoming experience for guests and visitors during the holiday season by supporting the celebration’s traditions, guest experiences, and seasonal activities. The posting also describes housekeeping duties: maintaining guest-room cleanliness and sanitation, preparing and maintaining rooms with attention to detail, and contributing to a positive guest stay. Housekeeping experience is desirable, and successful housekeepers may have opportunities to grow into supervisory or management positions.
Requirements
- Housekeeping experience is desirable.
- Neat appearance and pleasant personality.
- Time management skills.
- Ability to work on feet for an extended period.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Ability to read room numbers, dates, and basic instructions.
- Ability to move, traverse, and position oneself to reach floor corners and high places; observe conditions and detect odors; and position and navigate carts weighing up to 100 lbs in tight spaces.
- Ability to operate spray bottles, vacuums, mops, brooms, dust pans, scrub pads, and dusters.
- Ability to lift, carry, and position loads of at least 25 lbs.
- Dependable, professional, detail-oriented, and able to work well with others.

Responsibilities
- Engage with guests to ensure their stay is going well.
- Work as a team to accomplish resort and hotel cleanliness goals.
- Keep the work cart orderly and properly stocked.
- Use equipment, supplies, and guest amenities properly.
- Thoroughly clean and sanitize assigned guest areas.
- Change and inspect linens and towels daily, following Green Program standards.
- Practice safety standards, watch for hazards, and report hazards when found.
- Respect guests’ property.
- Care for equipment responsibly.
- Report to work on time according to the posted schedule, maintain accurate time records, and follow proper standards for room issuance.
- Remain alert, courteous, and helpful to guests and coworkers.
- Perform other related duties as requested by the Floor Supervisor.
