About The Position

The Seasonal Events Associate performs duties associated with store events and participates in short-term assignments and seasonal events to support the store throughout the year. The role supports a strong commitment to world-class customer service and helps provide every customer with a pleasant, productive, and legendary shopping experience. The position works under general supervision, follows established procedures while using innovation, and may exercise occasional independent judgment to complete assignments and recommend improvements to work procedures, policies, and practices.

Requirements

• High school education or equivalent experience.
• Ability to calculate figures such as discounts and make change for customers.
• Ability to perform data entry and analyze reports and ledgers.
• Ability to communicate in a friendly and professional manner with customers and other associates.
• Good customer service skills.
• Ability to function in a noisy and hectic environment with children and parents.
• Ability to stand and/or walk throughout the shift.
• Ability to communicate with others to exchange information.
• Ability to occasionally ascend or descend ladders, stairs, ramps, or similar structures.
• Ability to occasionally perform repetitive motions involving the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
• Ability to occasionally work in low or high temperatures, outdoor elements such as precipitation and wind, and noisy environments.
• Ability to perform light work that may occasionally involve lifting or moving objects weighing up to 100 pounds, using a team lift as needed.

Responsibilities

• Support a strong commitment to world-class customer service and ensure a pleasant and productive shopping experience for customers.
• Assist customers with buying decisions by identifying and evaluating their needs, recommending products, and promoting programs such as CLUB Membership, VOC, and In-Store Pick-up.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, coworkers, children, and customers.
• Assist with the execution of seasonal events.
• Facilitate in-house outdoor skills workshops.
• Participate in scheduled store events.
• Keep the work area clean, neat, and safe.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
