About The Position

The Seasonal Events Associate performs duties associated with store events and participates in short-term assignments and seasonal events to support the store as needed throughout the year. The role focuses on providing excellent customer service, assisting customers with purchasing decisions, supporting seasonal events and workshops, and maintaining a clean, neat, and safe work area. The position operates under general supervision and requires occasional independent judgment to complete assignments and recommend improvements to work procedures, policies, and practices.

Requirements

• High school education or equivalent experience.
• Ability to calculate figures such as discounts and make change for customers.
• Ability to perform data entry and analyze reports and ledgers.
• Ability to communicate in a friendly and professional manner with customers and other associates.
• Good customer service skills.
• Ability to function in a noisy and hectic environment with children and parents.
• Ability to stand and/or walk throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift or move objects weighing up to 100 pounds occasionally, using a team lift as needed.

Responsibilities

• Support a strong commitment to world-class customer service and help ensure a pleasant and productive shopping experience for customers.
• Assist customers with buying decisions by identifying and evaluating their needs, recommending products, and promoting programs such as CLUB Membership, VOC, and In-Store Pick-up.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, coworkers, children, and customers.
• Assist with the execution of seasonal events.
• Facilitate in-house outdoor skills workshops.
• Participate in store events as scheduled.
• Keep the work area clean, neat, and safe.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
