About The Position

The Seasonal Events Associate performs duties associated with store events and participates in short-term assignments and seasonal events to support the store throughout the year. The role supports customer service, helps customers make purchasing decisions, promotes store programs, assists with seasonal events, and facilitates in-house outdoor skills workshops. The associate works under general supervision using established procedures and occasional independent judgment.

Requirements

• High school education or equivalent experience.
• Ability to calculate figures such as discounts and make change for customers.
• Ability to perform data entry and analyze reports and ledgers.
• Ability to communicate in a friendly and professional manner with customers and associates.
• Good customer service skills.
• Ability to function in a noisy, hectic environment with children and parents.
• Ability to stand and/or walk throughout the shift and communicate with others frequently.
• Ability to occasionally use ladders, stairs, or ramps; repeat motions involving wrists, hands, or fingers; work in low or high temperatures, outdoor elements, and noisy environments.
• Ability to perform light work that may occasionally require lifting or moving objects weighing up to 100 pounds, using a team lift as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide a pleasant and productive shopping experience and deliver a strong standard of customer service.
• Help customers make buying decisions by identifying and evaluating their needs and recommending products.
• Promote programs including CLUB Membership, VOC, and In-Store Pick-up.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, coworkers, children, and customers.
• Assist with the execution of seasonal events and participate in scheduled store events.
• Facilitate in-house outdoor skills workshops.
• Keep the work area clean, neat, and safe.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Complete tasks under general supervision, using established procedures and occasional independent judgment; make recommendations concerning work procedures, policies, and practices.
