The company is seeking an experienced and resourceful part-time, seasonal Event Manager. This role is ideal for a highly organized, solutions-oriented professional who thrives in dynamic and unpredictable environments. The manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing events of all sizes, often in unconventional locations with unique logistical challenges. Essential skills include thinking on one's feet, leading a team, and maintaining flawless operations under pressure.

Requirements

  • Proven experience managing large-scale events, ideally in hospitality, culinary, or related industries.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills; ability to motivate and coordinate staff effectively.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities and adaptability in high-pressure or unpredictable environments.
  • Excellent organizational and logistical skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple events and priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong communication skills, both with internal teams and external clients/vendors.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute events from start to finish, ensuring all client expectations are met or exceeded.
  • Oversee event logistics in challenging environments
  • Lead, schedule, and manage hourly staff, including coordinating transportation and on-site team assignments.
  • Anticipate and troubleshoot potential issues related to weather, site conditions, vendor coordination, or staffing, and implement solutions quickly.
  • Collaborate with culinary, operations, and client teams to ensure seamless event execution.
  • Innovate and “reinvent the wheel” when standard solutions do not apply, creating new processes or workflows to improve efficiency and outcomes.
  • Maintain detailed event documentation, timelines, and budgets.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and health regulations at all events.
