About The Position

This position is responsible for driving a Salvation Army vehicle to transport passengers and Red Kettle equipment to bell ringing locations. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., totaling 40 hours per week.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or G.E.D.
• Two years’ experience operating an automotive vehicle, or Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
• Ability to meet attendance requirements.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language.
• Ability to drive a vehicle in heavy traffic and extended trips.

Responsibilities

• Provides transportation for bell ringers to kettle sites and the Corps.
• Picks-up Angel Tree donations from various sites for transport to warehouse.
• Picks-up and delivers miscellaneous items as needed.
• Drives carefully and observes/complies with all traffic signs and road/weather conditions to ensure the safety of passengers.
• Fuels vehicle in accordance with state gasoline regulations and The Salvation Army standards.
• Maintains control of passenger activities by prohibiting unsafe or non-Christian behavior.
