About The Position
This position is responsible for driving a truck and/or van to various locations to pick up and deliver gifts for the Christmas warehouse. The role involves loading and unloading donations, ensuring vehicle safety and security, and assisting with various tasks at the Christmas warehouse and center as needed. This includes general cleaning, traffic routing, and setting up/disassembling Christmas displays.
Requirements
- A High School diploma or GED.
- Two years driving experience.
- Valid Driver's License
- Clean Driving Record
- Ability to meet attendance requirements.
- Ability to organize routes in a manner that saves time and gasoline consumption.
- Ability to work effectively and cooperatively with co-workers and donors.
- Ability to perform general cleaning activities for building.
- Ability to follow instructions.

Responsibilities
- Drives truck and/or van to mall(s) to pick up gifts and take them to the Christmas warehouse.
- Drives the truck and/or van to and from homes, agencies and churches to pick up gifts, stockings, etc.
- Loads and unloads gifts from the truck to the warehouse.
- Operates the truck and/or van in compliance with established Salvation Army standards and State driving regulations.
- Lifts, carries, loads and unloads Christmas donations, gifts, stocks, etc.
- Ensures the safety, security and accountability of the vehicle and donations at all times.
- Assists in performing work at the Christmas warehouse and center as requested.
- Organizes scheduling pick-ups by most direct route to arrive at destinations according to schedule.
- Maintains cleanliness of truck and/or van inside and outside.
- Assist with janitorial work in the Christmas warehouse as needed.
- Assist with routing of traffic when necessary, at the Christmas Center as requested.
- Assist with setting up trees, tables and stands for Christmas display and disassembling at the end of the Christmas Season.
- Perform other related work as required.
