About The Position

The J.R. Simplot Company is seeking a seasonal Truck Driver/Warehouse position for Simplot Grower Solutions. This is a full-time, temporary role with full benefits and the potential for significant overtime. The main duties involve operating trucks, delivering fertilizer and chemicals, and assisting with plant operations.

Requirements

• Must hold and maintain a Class A CDL and appropriate driving record
• Must be able to lift 50lbs
• Ag-Industry Hours - Must be willing to work overtime and weekends to meet seasonal demands.
• Must be able to perform all essential functions of the job
• Ability to accurately count materials, reconcile quantities, and complete basic math calculations as part of routine workflow.

Nice To Haves

• Truck driving experience preferred
• Knowledge of local rural geography is a plus
• Knowledge of farm operations is a plus
• Preferred Endorsements (not required): HazMat, Tanker, Doubles/Triples

Responsibilities

• Operate fertilizer truck, fill application equipment, and support plant operations as needed.
• May assist with recordkeeping related to warehouse/inventory responsibilities.
• Maintain and keep trucks clean.
• Performs varied responsibilities such as: equipment and plant maintenance including welding, pump and engine overhauls, painting, and general housekeeping responsibilities
• Loading and delivering fertilizer and chemicals to customers
• Miscellaneous duties such as assisting with special projects, attending training sessions, providing back-up when needed, etc.
