Seasonal Dispatcher
About The Position
PTG Logistics is a trusted, asset-based carrier that’s been growing for over 25 years. With offices and operations nationwide, we serve a wide range of industries—from steel and building supplies to bread and ice cream—using great drivers and top-notch equipment. We’re seeking a skilled Dispatcher to join our Dallas, TX team on a temporary assignment supporting operations during a high-volume period. As a Dispatcher, you’ll help manage daily delivery operations, coordinate drivers and contractors, and maintain strong relationships with clients. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys problem-solving, teamwork, and communication.
Requirements
- High school diploma or 3+ years of dispatching or logistics experience.
- Strong communication, organization, and computer proficiency (Microsoft Office).
- Valid Driver’s License required.
Nice To Haves
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
- Spanish-speaking skills are a plus.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily dispatch and delivery operations.
- Communicate with clients, drivers, and contractors.
- Schedule and track deliveries to ensure on-time performance.
- Resolve delivery issues and handle customer inquiries.
- Maintain accurate records and performance reports.
- Support recruiting and training of Independent Owner Operators.
- Ensure DOT and safety compliance.
