Mahr Park - Seasonal Crew Worker
About The Position
The purpose of this classification is to perform unskilled to semi-skilled manual labor work at Mahr Park. This role involves routine cleaning of park facilities, restrooms, rental spaces, offices, and other assigned areas. Responsibilities include sweeping, dusting, mopping, vacuuming, sanitizing, and completing regular and deep-cleaning duties. The position also entails managing laundry and linens, monitoring and maintaining janitorial supplies, assisting with facility upkeep and trash removal, and supporting general park operations and maintenance. The Seasonal Crew Worker will work cooperatively with the park crew and other staff to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming park environment.
Requirements
- Possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent
- Possess and maintain a valid Kentucky Driver’s license
- Work outside in all weather conditions
- Must be available to work on weekends and holidays
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning of park facilities, restrooms, rental spaces, offices, and other assigned areas.
- Sweep, dust, mop, vacuum, sanitize, etc., and keep spaces clean and presentable.
- Complete regular and deep-cleaning duties as scheduled or as needed.
- Collect, wash, dry, fold, and properly store linens, towels, and other park-related laundry.
- Maintain clean and organized linen storage areas and ensure adequate supplies are available for facility needs.
- Monitor inventory of toilet paper, paper products, cleaning chemicals, laundry supplies, and other janitorial materials.
- Maintain organized supply areas and communicate when supplies need to be reordered or replenished.
- Assist with restroom and facility upkeep, trash removal, sanitizing, and other general janitorial duties.
- Respond to cleaning and housekeeping needs for park events, rentals, and high-use areas.
- Identify and report maintenance, safety, or facility concerns to the appropriate supervisor.
- Assist with general park maintenance and daily operations as needed, including litter removal, event setup, cleanup, and upkeep of park grounds and facilities.
- Work cooperatively with the park crew and other staff to help maintain a clean, safe, welcoming, and well-maintained park environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall operation of the park.
